Technical description:
The butternut is a new uniform bred specifically for the fresh market trade.
Not too large, not too small, the fruit average 2.5 lbs (1.2 kg) and are about 7 inches
long (18 cm). The attractive tan skin and classic butternut shape add to this variety’s
display appeal. The flesh is fine textured, deep orange, and sweet. Earliness is an
added bonus along with a high marketable fruit number per plant.
